Bringing Hope And Change

To Native Reservations

With an 85% unemployment rate, an average annual income of $2,500 - $3,000 (per household), a high infant mortality rate and the highest suicide rate in the nation, the Pine Ridge Indian reservation is ranked #1 of the poorest and most depressed areas in North America.  Therefore, the Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Indian reservation, South Dakota, is where we chose to begin.

In a community such as Pine Ridge, hope can be the difference between life and death. Outside support can give the people something to hope for.  So, BICONA has sprung into action, in an effort to bring hope and save lives. The dream is to bring attention and support to the third-world conditions that plague many reservations and to save lives at the same time.

Please remember those who are suffering on the reservation.  The "all Indians are rich because they get money from the government" rumor is just that; a rumor.  It is true that a small handful of nations have successful casinos and, although a few do what they can to help out , it is not enough.  The people desperately need you... and please know that there is no such thing as a small donation.  *Any donation is tax deductible.

If you wish to make a 100% tax deductible, you can do it one of two ways... you can make out a check to "The BICONA Foundation" and mail it directly to:
